Copenhagen Apartment: https://www.airbnb.com.au/rooms/820869?
Address: Frederiksborggade 36 4. tv, Copenhagen, Capital Region of Denmark 1360, Denmark
It was an early start for the three of us today with a 7 am departure from our apartment. We eventually manage to find a taxi and headed off to Central Station. The boys were catching a train to Florence for the start of their bike riding tour and I was catching a bus to the airport for my flight to Copenhagen. For more on Mark and David’s bike adventures you will have to refer to Mark’s travel blog site: Bike ‘n’ Beers.
It was really a case of ‘planes trains and automobiles’ for me today. I had a full day of travel with a car trip to the station, a bus to the airport, a plane to Copenhagen and then a tram from the airport to the apartment. Luckily, the apartment was only a couple of hundred meters from the tram stop. The other lucky thing is that the apartment is right beside a grocery store and right across the road from some great food markets, TorvehallerneKBH Markets.
The apartment is lovely, large and light filled being on the 5th floor but the lack of lift made it a task carrying the bags. I realise now, though, that the host must live here when it is not rented as his belongings fill every part of the apartment. This is the first time I’ve experienced this type of AirBnB and I must say….. I’m not a huge fan. It didn’t mention this anywhere on the listing 😦 It feels like I’m bunking in at an Uncles place.
Anyway, after settling in at the apartment I went to check out Torvehallernekbh and the grocery store. I opted to buy some simple supplies for a night-in given I was beat after a long day of travel; and somewhat lonely and discombobulated too.
